Sports Book Partnership with Station Casinos

July 13th, 2011 ecadmin No comments

El Cortez Hotel & Casino has officially entered into a partnership with Station Casinos LLC to manage our sports book. El Cortez will be their first sports book operation outside the 17 properties Station Casinos LLC currently owns and/or manages. We will be the only downtown property Station Casinos enters into contract with, giving us access to its Wagering Integrated Network that will allow for the processing, management and reporting of bets across the company’s network of race and sports books.

Station Casinos LLC will replace South Point, which has operated our sports book for the past four years. “The market for sports betting is growing downtown, and it’s become a more important revenue center for the hotel. South point was good, but we think this will allow us to grow even more” says Joe Woody, CFO of El Cortez.

El Cortez customers will have the opportunity to participate in Station’s popular Great Giveaway and Last Man Standing Football contests as well as have access to Sports Connection, the Station’s proprietary intranet and phone wagering program for Nevada Residents.

We’re excited to be in the downtown market and bring our cutting-edge wagering technology and exciting contests to the loyal guests of the El Cortez,” said Art Manteris, Vice President of Sports Book Operations for Station Casinos.

With this new partnership we hope to bring our valued guests and players the best value possible, most rewards and most enjoyable experience possible while placing your bets with us. This new venture goes live in August, pending state and local gaming regulatory approvals.
